Shakira looked sensational while performing at the 2024 Copa América final on Sunday in a silver sequinned ensemble.
The multi-Grammy Award winner, 47, who split from former soccer star Gerard Pique in 2022, took to the stage during halftime at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.
She wore a plunging chainmail crop top with a matching wrap around mini skirt, that featured a side slit.
Shakira topped off her outfit with a pair of coordinating ankle boots and fishnet stockings.
She was joined by a number of backing dancers who wore metallic trousers and sleeveless crop tops.
Announcing her performance on Tuesday, Alejandro Domínguez, president of CONMEBOL, said: ‘Shakira is an extraordinary South American star who has dazzled the entire world.
‘Her songs are sung and danced to in every corner of the planet, turning her art into a global phenomenon that crosses borders and is enjoyed by millions of people,’ he went on.
‘We are sure that her performance at the Copa América USA 2024 will enhance the message of healthy passion and unity through sport.’
The Colombian songstress, who has performed at the Super Bowl and three World Cups, added the Copa América to her resumé when she appeared at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.
More than 54,000 people were expected to attend the match, which kicked off at 8pm ET.
Shakira has provided the soundtrack for several soccer tournaments through the years.
She performed her iconic hit Hips Don’t Lie during the 2006 World Cup final in Berlin, before her chart-topping tune Waka Waka [This Time for Africa] became the anthem of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
She also wrote and performed the song La La La for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The singer had been linked to soccer through her ex-boyfriend Pique, whom she dated for over a decade.
Following their 2022 split amid allegations the ex Barcelona star cheated on her, Shakira likened him to Harry Potter villain Lord Voldemort.
She also got candid about everything she gave up during the 12 years she was in a relationship to Piqué.
‘For a long time I put my career on hold, to be next to Gerard, so he could play football,’ Shakira admitted during an interview with The Sunday Times earlier this year.
‘There was a lot of sacrifice for love,’ she continued.
