The rise to fame! Throughout her time in the spotlight, Dua Lipa has been accused of undergoing various plastic surgery procedures, but has the pop star actually had any work done?
While she’s never spoken publicly about getting plastic surgery, the London-born musician did clap back at haters in 2019 for claiming she Photoshopped pictures of her younger self.
“To the people saying I Photoshop my baby pictures to make my lips look bigger are mad madddd!” she shared in a since-deleted Instagram post. “Can’t believe I have to defend myself. You guys are on crack.”

Dua released her singles “Hotter Than Hell” and “Blow Your Mind (Mwah)” ahead of her debut album. The entertainer hyped up the upcoming project by revealing the album’s art on social media.
“I’m so excited to share my album artwork with you and thank you guys for being so patient and supportive,” she wrote via Facebook in August 2016. “The reason it is self-titled is because this album is me. It’s a representation of who I am as a person and as an artist.”

Her debut album, Dua Lipa, officially dropped in June and peaked at No. 27 on the Billboard 200 the following February.
In November 2023, Dua recalled being “so upset all the time” while promoting the album.
“There were so many moments, I think, when I first started when I was just in back-to-back-to-back, like, constant photo shoots, traveling and doing performances and not wanting to miss any opportunities — especially in America — when I was doing late-night TV or breakfast telly or whatever,” she said during a KISS FM UK interview. “A lot of the time, I would have to get up and perform — there was this one American show that I did, and I had 30 minutes before we started taping to just, like, try and figure out a routine and dance and perform and do the thing.”
2018
Dua hit the road on The Self-Titled Tour and rocked a chic chopped hairdo. The vocalist tended to her “damaged” hair by starting fresh, she said in an Instagram story.

The Future Nostalgia album officially dropped and helped fans worldwide cope with lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic.
“It’s been definitely a weird time, and you never really know what the right thing to do is at times like this. But I’m really excited to put this album out now to give people time to live with it and listen to it when they’re at home,” she told Variety in April. “I hope it will brighten people’s day. We’re all staying at home, or the majority of us are, and hopefully we can get the rest of the people to stay home too.”
2021
She collaborated with Elton John on “Cold Heart” and reached another monumental career achievement when she won a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album.
“I’ve been singing my whole life,” she said during her acceptance speech. “Thank you so much for this honor. Thank you to everyone who listened to me or supported me.”

Dua officially went on the Future Nostalgia tour and proved she could look good in any hairstyle when she entered her blondie stage at the Grammys.
2023
Dua isn’t a gatekeeper and gave fans a glimpse into her simple and effective skincare routine.
What’s on the list? SPF, lip masks and face mists!
“I tend to change up my routine when the weather gets warmer, so I also wanted to share with you my must-have summer products that keep my skin and hair happy,” Dua wrote in a Service95 newsletter. “Just thinking about bringing them with me to the beach is getting me so excited for my holidays.”
