A simple, preppy cardigan can become your entire fall uniform. Don’t believe me? Observe Lindsay Lohan, who just embraced the cardigan trend on a walk with her husband Bader Shammas in New York City.

Lohan made the case for classic minimalism on September 16, when she and Shammas were photographed in the Soho neighborhood of Manhattan. The Freaky Friday actor wore a basic black cardigan over a matching black bodysuit, which she paired with straight-leg jeans, simple silver jewelry, and dad sneakers. Sunglasses, a chain bag, and a petite Western belt completed the ensemble.
