Freakier Friday’s Jamie Lee Curtis exclusively told E! News how her costar Lindsay Lohan’s life has changed since giving birth to baby Luai last year: “She’s awesome.”
Jamie Lee Curtis thinks Lindsay Lohan isn’t a regular mom—she’s a cool mom.
The 65-year-old—who played Lindsay’s mom in the 2003 movie Freaky Friday—recently shared about how Lindsay’s life has changed since welcoming baby Luai, 14 months, with husband Bader Shammas last year.
“She’s awesome,” Jamie Lee exclusively told E! News’ Francesca Amiker at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of her new film The Last Showgirl on Sept. 6. “Motherhood changes everybody. It creates a reality that you are now responsible for another human being, and she is a beautiful mommy, gorgeous.”
And Jamie Lee—who shares daughters Annie Guest and Ruby Guest with husband Christopher Guest—would know firsthand: She’s gotten to see a lot more of Lindsay these days, as the pair recently finished filming a Freaky Friday sequel, which comes out next year.
“We just had a great shoot on [Freakier] Friday,” the Oscar winner continued. “You guys are going to be very happy.”
In addition to reprising her role as Anna Coleman alongside Jamie Lee, Lindsay also marked another milestone this year: celebrating her first Mother’s Day. At the time, she shared how much she’s enjoying her new role as mom, writing to Luai in a May 8 Instagram post, “I’m loving the little things with my baby, from walks and baths to our feeding times together.”
Lindsay gave birth to her son in July 2023, a year after announcing her surprise marriage in an Instagram post where the Mean Girls star referred to her partner as “husband.”
“I am the luckiest woman in the world,” Lindsay wrote in the caption of the July 2022 post. “You found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time. I am stunned that you are my husband. My life and my everything, every woman should feel like this everyday.”
And baby Luai has no shortage of family members in his life that care for him. In February, his godparents were revealed as none other than Stephen Curry and wife Ayesha Curry—who are parents to Riley, 12, Ryan, 9, Canon, 6, and Caius, 3 months——when the couple gave Luai a Golden State Warriors jersey signed, “To Luai. Your godparents love you!”
