TPO – Shakira’s media representative said that the man who filmed under the singer’s skirt was a member of the crew, not a crazy fan at the nightclub.

On September 19, Shakira ‘s media representative spoke out about Shakira being harassed at LIV Miami nightclub. While performing, the singer was filmed up her skirt. She repeatedly asked the man to stop harassing her but he did not cooperate. The La La La singer was angry and left the show.

Immediately after the video went viral on social media, viewers were outraged and demanded justice for Shakira. Initially, viewers thought the harasser was a crazy fan of the female singer. However, what surprised viewers was that the person secretly filming was a member of the Latin star’s staff.

Sofia Bukele , Shakira’s communications director, explained that the man filming under the skirt was not a fan but a member of the singer’s staff. This person’s job was to stand below to record and post the video on various platforms.

“Despite rumors that Shakira was harassed by fans, the truth is that the cameraman was an employee of the singer. He was tasked with recording Shakira’s performance at the famous nightclub ,” Sofia Bukele explained.

Bukele also said that the information that Shakira was embarrassed because of harassment was not true. “She just asked the staff to put down the phone to enjoy the memorable night. There is no way she left in anger,” this person added.

According to Marca , Sofia Bukele’s explanation was not satisfactory. A series of guests present at the nightclub such as Danna, Lele Pons, models Winnie Harlow, Kyle Kuzma, French Montana… were all visibly upset when helping Shakira off the stage.

Shakira performed at LIV Miami nightclub on the evening of September 14. While performing the song Soltera, she noticed someone holding a phone and filming from below. Initially, the singer adjusted her skirt to avoid exposing her sensitive parts and asked the person to stop filming. However, the man did not cooperate and kept bringing the camera closer. The indecent act made the singer angry and she walked off stage.

The Latin star was escorted into the VIP area by security. Singer Anitta came to her side and comforted her colleague. The video of Shakira being harassed later spread across social media. The man who was secretly filmed received much criticism.
