Lindsay Lohan, who is set to reprise her role as Anna Coleman in an upcoming sequel to Freaky Friday, has opened up about motherhood since welcoming her son, Luai
Lindsay Lohan has admitted she would love to experience life through the eyes of her 13-month-old son, Luai, as she shared a rare update on motherhood.
The Freaky Friday star, who is set to reprise her role as Anna Coleman in an upcoming sequel to the 2003 hit film, shared that she would love to swap bodies with her baby boy, describing him as “so pure and happy”. Lindsay shares her son with Dubai-based banker Bader Shammas.
Lindsay, 38, was asked in a new interview if there is anyone she would want to swap bodies with. She replied: “Anyone? Maybe my baby. Just to see – because he is so pure and just so happy, just to see life through his eyes, just every day.”
Speaking to People magazine, she referred to her son as a “beautiful bundle of joy,” and couldn’t think of any other response. Lindsay has been keeping her son away from the spotlight and is yet to share any pictures of him on social media.
In a joint interview with her Freaky Fridays co-star Jamie Lee Curtis, who played her mother Tess Coleman in the original film and will also return for the sequel, Lindsay revealed that their bond has “grown so much closer” since the first movie. She added that they have become “especially” close while working on the sequel.
Jamie, 65, said she wanted Lindsay to know she “cared” and was there to support her amid the challenges of fame. She recalled that her co-star was around 16 when they made Freaky Friday, which turned out to be a “big success” for both of them.
Jamie also expressed her desire for her former co-star to know they were “friends” and that she actually “cared about her,” acknowledging the “many hard things” about being a young actor in the limelight.
Reflecting on the lasting success of the film, Lindsay noted that as she ages, seeing the love from fans and how much it “stays with people,” has made her understand “what an impact” it had on its audience. She also realized “how much of a success it was”.
