Shakira recently released a new single, “Soltera.” The song, which celebrates the pleasure of being single, is Shakira’s first new music since the release of Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ (Women No Longer Cry) in March.
“I have the right to misbehave/ To have a good time/ I’m on my own and now I can do what I want to do/ It’s good to be single,” Shakira sings.
Shakira teased “Soltera” on Instagram earlier this month, sharing a clip filmed at the LIV Miami nightclub. She captioned the clip: “Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Jamaica and Venezuela present!” It featured a star-studded cameo with Anitta, Danna Paola, Lele Pons, and Winnie Harlow.
The singer shared another clip on Instagram on Wednesday (September 25). The picture featured Shakira aboard a yacht with Natty Natasha, Harlow, Pons, and more, all grooving to her signature moves. “I can’t believe you taught us that first move. Iconic, Shakira!,” Harlow commented on Shakira’s IG.
Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ (Women No Longer Cry) earned Shakira three Latin Grammy Award nominations.
