Earlier this month we reported how Dua Lipa was tipped to record the next James Bond theme tune. Now the singer has responded to the rumours at this year’s Billboard Music Awards.

When the she was asked on the red carpet about her potential involvement with a new James Bond theme tune she revealed, “I would love to do it”, however she went on to say, “I’m not recording it so far, I don’t want to jinx it.”

We still have our fingers crossed for her! Last week a number of publications were reporting that the ‘New Rules’ singer could be due to follow in the footsteps of Adele and Sam Smith by recording a new James Bond theme. The singer was tipped to be the favourite with many, even over other possible choices of Ed Sheeran and Adele (once again).

At the time the rumours started, Twitter went into meltdown with her fans getting extremely excited. One fan tweeted, ‘oh my god @DUALIPA might record the next James Bond theme song, and I am already sensing an Oscar 👀’ sic
